We, the undersigned, call on the Foreign Secretary and International Development Secretary to use the UK’s role as a major donor to the Palestinian Authority (directly, through aid programmes and through the EU) to put pressure on the PA to take action to stop incitement of hatred and violence towards Israel and Jews, particularly through official Palestinian channels of communication and education.

We condemn the promotion of a culture of hate, terror and non-acceptance of Israelis and Jews in Palestinian society, particularly the indoctrination of children, rightly described by Hillary Clinton as “child abuse”.

We believe that ending this culture of hatred is a vital step towards a lasting peace in the Middle East.

We want to see our UK funding support for the Palestinian Authority doing good not bad, and spent in a way that is pro-peace, pro-development and pro-education.
