We are horrified by the news that the family of Jamil Tamimi, the terrorist accused of killing British student Hannah Bladon in Jerusalem on 14 April, will qualify for a “salary” from the Palestinian Authority of £800 a month. The Palestinian Authority receives more than £60 million a year in aid from the UK. (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4436526/Terrorist-accused-killing-student-paid-80.html#ixzz4fLvd1xDq).
We call on the next Foreign Secretary and International Development Secretary to use the UK’s leverage as a major donor to persuade the Palestinian Authority not to make these payments and to drop its disgraceful policy of rewarding terrorists for their exploits.
