WBII Campaign: Oppose UNRWA’s Nobel Peace Prize Nomination

It beggars belief that an organisation so entwined with terror as UNRWA could be considered for the Nobel Peace Prize. This is an agency with a well-documented history of employing Hamas militants—admitted by the agency itself—men responsible for violence and mayhem. Their participation in the October 7 massacre only highlights this deeper corruption. UNRWA facilities have been used to store weapons and launch attacks, and its schools have become breeding grounds for hatred, indoctrinating children with anti-Semitic propaganda. Is this the behaviour of a "peace" organisation?

UNRWA has made a mockery of humanitarian principles. Teachers with ties to Hamas occupy leadership roles, turning classrooms into platforms for inciting violence. The agency’s complicity in facilitating terror renders it not just negligent, but actively harmful to the cause of peace. To grant UNRWA the Nobel Peace Prize would be to turn a blind eye to its sordid dealings and endorse an organisation that aids terror.

The Nobel Prize is meant to honour those who promote reconciliation, yet UNRWA, through its actions, has proven itself to be the antithesis of these values. Such a nomination not only dishonours the prize itself but emboldens those who see terror and violence as a legitimate means to achieve political ends.

We call on our supporters to contact their MPs and demand they voice opposition to this outrageous nomination. If UNRWA is recognised with such an award, it would signal that the global community is willing to reward organisations that stand hand-in-hand with terror. The Nobel Committee must rethink this dangerous move. UNRWA is not an agent of peace—it is a partner in violence, and its nomination for such a prestigious award is an affront to all who genuinely strive for peace.

Take Further Action: Email the Nobel Peace Prize Committee to Oppose UNRWA’s Nomination

Your voice is essential. The nomination of UNRWA for the Nobel Peace Prize is an affront to everything the prize should represent. This is an organisation with irrefutable ties to Hamas—a terror group devoted to the annihilation of Israel and the destruction of peace. Honouring such an entity with a peace prize would be not only absurd but dangerous.

We urge you to join us in writing to the Nobel Committee, demanding this disgraceful nomination be rescinded.

Dear [MP’s Name],

Opposition to UNRWA's Nobel Peace Prize Nomination

I am writing to express my deep concern over the recent nomination of UNRWA for the Nobel Peace Prize. While the award is intended to honour individuals and organisations that promote peace and reconciliation, UNRWA’s long-documented involvement with Hamas raises serious questions about the appropriateness of this nomination.

UNRWA has repeatedly been linked to the employment of Hamas militants, including the participation of its workers in the October 7 massacre. The agency’s facilities in Gaza have been used to store weapons and launch attacks against Israeli civilians and simultaneously put Palestinian civilians in harm’s way. UNRWA schools, too, have been platforms for fostering hatred and incitement to violence, rather than the values of peace and coexistence. It is a well-established fact that numerous UNRWA staff members hold leadership positions within Hamas, further illustrating the agency’s complicity in fostering violence.

Awarding UNRWA the Nobel Peace Prize would send a contradictory and dangerous message to the world, endorsing an organisation that aids terror rather than embodying the values of peace that the prize should represent. I urge you to raise this issue in Parliament and ask the Government to oppose UNRWA’s nomination in the strongest possible terms.

We must ensure that those awarded this prestigious prize truly reflect the values of peace, justice, and reconciliation—not those that enable terror and violence.

I look forward to your response on this critical matter.

Yours sincerely,
