Statement of Solidarity with Israelis under attack
Since 5am this morning (12 November 2019) Israelis have been sheltering from rockets fired from Gaza by the terrorist group Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), after the killing of PIJ leader Baha Abu al-Atta. This was a pre-emptive strike as he was planning terror attacks in the days ahead.
Israel has closed all schools and non-essential workplaces from the Gaza border region up to Tel Aviv. Rail travel has been suspended and hundreds of thousands of civilians have fled to bomb shelters.
We, the undersigned, express our solidarity with the people of Israel as they come under indiscriminate attack and fully support the Israeli armed forces acting in legitimate self-defence against terrorist groups in Gaza.
