Call to Action: Proscribe Palestine Action to Safeguard British Values and Public Safety

At We Believe in Israel (WBII), we are steadfast in our mission to uphold democratic principles, community cohesion, and the rule of law. Yet, the increasing activities of extremist groups like Palestine Action pose a direct threat to these values. Operating under the guise of “activism,” Palestine Action has crossed the line from legitimate protest to acts of harassment, vandalism, and intimidation.

This is not peaceful dissent—it is an organised campaign of extremism.

The growing aggression of Palestine Action undermines societal harmony and targets organisations and individuals linked to Israel. Their actions, from defacing offices to inciting division, are designed to erode public trust and create an atmosphere of fear. These are not the hallmarks of civic activism but rather of a group that operates with impunity and contempt for the rule of law.

It is time for action. The Government must proscribe Palestine Action under the Terrorism Act 2000.

Why Proscription is Essential

Proscription is not just a legal mechanism; it is a necessary response to safeguard public order and reinforce the values that underpin British society. By proscribing Palestine Action:

  • The Rule of Law is Protected: Groups operating outside legal frameworks undermine democracy and foster lawlessness. Proscription reaffirms that no organisation is above the law.
  • Public Safety is Prioritised: By halting the operations of extremist groups, the Government can prevent future acts of harassment and intimidation.
  • Democratic Values are Defended: Extremism, no matter its guise, threatens the principles of tolerance and respect that are vital to Britain’s identity.

Your Role in Supporting This Effort

The Government needs to hear from individuals across the UK. The time for silence has passed. By emailing the Home Office, you can directly contribute to this critical initiative.

To assist, WBII has prepared a model letter that outlines the urgent need for Palestine Action’s proscription. We urge you to use it as a guide when contacting the Home Office.

The Stakes for Britain

Failure to act risks emboldening other extremist groups and fostering deeper divisions within our communities. Proscription of Palestine Action is not merely about addressing immediate threats; it is a statement of intent that Britain remains resolute in its commitment to justice, security, and the values that underpin our democracy.

Together, we must challenge extremist agendas and defend the moral fabric of our society. This is a moment to act decisively, not just for the Jewish community but for the principles that define Britain as a free and fair society.

Add your voice to this vital campaign. Together, we can protect Britain’s democratic values and ensure the safety and cohesion of our communities.
